We just raised $6M

Two years ago, Finn and I went full-time on Fluency as two 23-year-olds before finishing uni. Neither of us came from a startup background, so we learned a lot of lessons the hard way.

It's been a movie.

Today we're announcing our US$6M seed round led by Accel to build the work intelligence layer for the AI enterprise.

What We've Learned

The fundraise is a nice milestone to mark, but the thing I'm most proud of is the team we've built and the clarity we now have on the problem.

Every conversation with transformation leaders at Fortune 500s reinforces the same thing: everyone sees the AI wave coming, no one has all the answers, and there's genuine comfort in realizing others feel the same way.

The gap we're filling is real. Enterprises are spending $600B on AI initiatives, but they can't measure whether any of it is actually working.

Current approaches like consultant shadowing, point-in-time process maps, and system logs that miss decision context were built for a different era. They capture outcomes but miss the work.

Why Work Intelligence Matters

Fluency captures how work actually happens, including the context switching, decision-making, and workarounds that define real operations. We build continuous models of how teams operate across every tool, so enterprises can see exactly where AI will have the highest impact and prove that it's working.

That's where the nuance lives, and that's what AI needs to actually be useful at enterprise scale.

Teams like Aon, PVH Corp, Specsavers, and Houghton Mifflin Harcourt are already using Fluency to do exactly this.

Our fresh perspective has been an advantage. We're not stuck on assumptions from a decade of trying to solve this with rigid frameworks, so we can approach it differently.

As Abhinav from Accel puts it: "AI capability is no longer the limiting factor. The real challenge is understanding where to apply it."

Thank You

Massive thank you to Accel, DST Global Partners, Carya Venture Partners, Mixture of Experts, Archangel, Nextgen, Brad, and everyone who backed us early.
